The RDKB is hoping a new daycare in Christina Lake will help address gaps in child care availability in the area.
A temporary use permit has been granted to the volunteers running the facility so they can operate on the commercial property they own.
The permit was chosen in lieu of rezoning the building.
RDKB Chair Grace McGregor says this facility is prudent for Christina Lake.
The operators are hoping to have the capacity to hold more than eight children.
