Interior Health is expanding a program aimed at preventing drug overdoses.
This as all IH emergency departments, public health centres and several communtity agencies will have take home naloxone kits available.
Medical Health Officer Dr. Silvina Mema says those who get the kits should be able to use them in panic situations.
Reports indicate 180 of these kits have been used to reverse overdoses in BC since 2012.
