Deep Lake, Washington wildfire at 300 hectares

Crews have been kept busy with wildfires in our region and the US.

Carlee Kachman with the Southeast Fire Centre says air tankers were deployed to a wildfire burning 15km south of the border near Waneta.

The Deep Lake blaze is over 300 hectares.

Meanwhile lightning caused a fire west of Trout Lake in the Wilkie Creek area.

A fire on Curry Mountain northeast of Beaverdell is 100% contained.

And crews continue to monitor the 60 hectare blaze in Granby Provincial park near Lower Arrow Lake.
