The RDKB wants a program that provides extra help for policing in Christina Lake to continue.
Chair Grace McGregor says many times there has been only one RCMP officer keeping watch on the area.
A previous auxiliary program would see retired mounties helping the officer patrolling the lake.
She says it’s sometimes difficult to find a Grand Forks officer to assist in the area.
