August warm, but no records broken

We had a hot August, but not too hot.

Weather forecaster Ron Lakeman with the Southeast Fire Centre says it’s been a mild summer.

The hottest day was the 16th when it got to 36.2 degrees.

The warmest on record is 40 degrees which happened on the 17th and 18th in 1967.

Our mean temperature was 20.8, slightly above the average of 20.

There were four days of measurable precipitation with 10 mm falling.

No records were broken.
