BC’s Lieutenant-Governor will participate in Selkirk College’s homecoming weekend.
The college announced today Judith Guichon will be on hand for tomorrow’s 50th birthday celebration.
Meanwhile, Terry Moon, a student from the first graduating class, says it was an amazing honor to pave the way for how we view the college today.
Moon says the college’s name was chosen at the last minute.
A gala event plus a number of other attractions are planned this weekend and are open to the public.
The gala goes from 6 til 9 tomorrow at the Castlegar campus.
Other events throughout the weekend include a pancake breakfast Saturday morning.
There will also be a golf tournament Sunday hosted by the Selkirk Saints hockey team.
