Winter’s not over but already there are some early reports of bear sightings in Trail.
They have been spotted around Glenmerry and Shavers Bench.
Sharon Wieder, the Wildsafe BC Community Coordinator for trail and area says the sightings haven’t been a cause for danger for humans or wildlife.
She adds that there isn’t much else for bears to eat other than garbage this time of year and they will sometimes den in the city if they have found food sources there in the past.
