Audit shows Boundary blue bags are 14% contaminated

If you got an “oops” note on your recycling bag you may have broken protocol.

A recycling audit for collections from a number of Boundary communities shows nearly a quarter of items left in blue bags shouldn’t be there.

Solid waste program coordinator Tim Dueck says only certain items are allowed.

The RDKB is issuing reminder notes to those who leave improper contents.

Contaminated bags will be refused starting December.
