Boundary business people celebrated

The 2016 Businesses Excellence and Community Awards were recently presented.

Community Futures had more nominations than ever this year.

Hardy Scott, who has worked at the Udder store in Greenwood for 23 years, received the individual service excellence award.

The winner of the business of the year for the East Boundary was Pharmasave in Grand Forks.

Laura Carlson and her husband Graeme have been running the store since 1990.

Copper Eagle Cappuccino and Bakery won the West Boundary business of the year award.

Gerry Foster and his wife Judy received an award for their volunteer work with the community.

Foster was also recognized as volunteer of the year for his work with the Grand Forks International baseball tournament.
