Doug McMynn will be Midway’s next mayor.
He won today’s by-election in a landslide, securing 175 votes.
Martin Fromme was second with 68 and Earl Lehmann third with 16.
McMynn replaces Randy Kappes, who resigned over the summer for personal reasons.
McMynn’s father Jim was mayor of Midway from its incorporation in 1967 until 2005.
A total of 259 votes were cast.
