Grand Forks applies for infrastructure dollars

The City of Grand Forks is waiting to hear about two significant grants from the federal and provincial governments.

One is for upgrades to the city’s water treatment plant that has a bill of just over four million dollars.

CAO Doug Allin says with the funding the city’s portion of the costs would only be 17 percent.

The next round of projects in the clean water and waste water fund is expected to be announced in the spring.
