The deer problem in Grand Forks will be receiving some financial aid from the BC government.
The city was approved for $16,000 as part of the provincial urban deer cost-share program.
That money will go towards the culling of 80 deer in the community.
Grand Forks was one of four cities approved with a fifth still pending.
It’s $200 a deer for an interior cull compared to $300 on the coast.
Cranbrook received a $19,000 grant that will look into the feasibility of relocating problem deer.
