Next year Grand Forks will celebrate Canada’s 150th birthday with an air show by the Snowbirds.
July 19 has been set for the acrobatic air team to perform at the Grand Forks airport.
Show coordinator Ann Gordon asked city council for $15,000 on Monday and says their overall response was very positive.
Gordon will be looking for more funding to help with hotel and travel costs for the pilots.
The Snowbirds last visited Grand Forks in 2000.
