A Kootenay kid is one step closer to his dream of playing in the NHL.
20 Year old Dryden Hunt, born in Cranbrook and raised in Nelson, has signed a three-year entry level deal with the Florida Panthers.
Hunt says the last few days have been a blur.
Hunt has put up amazing numbers this season with the Moose Jaw Warriors in the WHL and caught the eyes of Florida Panthers scouting staff.
He won’t lace up with the big club this season but will be involved in the Panthers’ training camp this summer.
