RDKB: Christina Lake to see election

Three of the five incumbent Regional District of Kootenay Boundary directors will be acclaimed for another term.

In Christina Lake, there will be a race between Rocio Graham and Rupert Oldroyd. Incumbent and board chair Grace McGregor did not seek re-election. She had been area director since 2005.

Longtime Columbia River director Linda Worley will face James McFaddin, whose wife Maria is the mayor of Castlegar.

Beaver Valley director Ali Grieve, rural Grand Forks director Linda Kay Wiese, and West Boundary director Sharen Gibbs were all unopposed when the nomination deadline closed today. Grieve is a longtime director while Wiese and Gibbs are each completing their first terms.

General voting day is Oct. 17.
