Wait times for elective surgeries in our area should be no more than 26 weeks by this time next year.
That’s what Interior Health administrator Jane Cusden told Nelson city council this week.
She says they’re already close to a target of 40 weeks by the end of 2016.
Cusden says the new targets apply province-wide, not just to Interior Health.
