Housing a problem in Grand Forks, survey finds

The results of the Grand Forks housing survey are in and they confirm affordability is an issue.

Only 120 people took part but over 60 percent said housing in Grand Forks is too expensive.

Mayor Frank Konrad says the survey is a good first step in hearing the community’s concerns.

Thirty-eight per cent of those surveyed said they would prefer to live in small homes if made available.

The city will host a discussion on Feb. 21 from 9:30 till noon at the seniors hall to discuss housing challenges.
