A Grand Forks medical cannabis dispensary that RCMP visited last week remains in business.
Police seized some product from Kootenays Medicine Tree but no charges are expected.
Executive director Jim Leslie says they’ve made some changes as a result.
Leslie is calling on the city to adopt bylaws regulating dispensaries similar to other municipalities.
Police also seized product from the Herbivore Cannabis dispensary.
RCMP Sgt. Jim Fenske declined an interview request, but in a prepared statement he said it remains illegal for dispensaries to sell marijuana.
That’s regardless of whether the customer has a prescription for medical use or the vendor has a license to grow.
He added police are co-operating with mayor and council who told them they won’t issue business licenses to dispensaries.
