A local youth has been recognized for outstanding leadership.
Tyson Nelson of Fruitvale was one of sixteen to receive the distinction at the BC Winter Games in Penticton last week.
The young karate athlete says he would likely return to the games if given the chance.
As part of the leadership award, Nelson was presented a Coast Capital Savings Leadership Bursary.
