The City of Grand Forks is working with Urban Systems to plan future water rates.
Right now Grand Forks uses a flat rate for residential and fixed rates for commercial and industrial customers.
But discussion at Monday’s committee of the whole could suggest a different direction.
The conversation between councillors leaned towards a two-tier system, with the suggested additions of useage measurement and education in water conservation.
The decision has yet to be made.
