The sentencing hearing for a former Grand Forks city councillor convicted of a drunk driving-related charge has been delayed until July 4.
Michael Wirischagin was expected to learn his fate today but the case was adjourned because his lawyer only received a pre-sentencing report a couple of days ago.
Wirischagin was convicted on one count following a trial in February.
The incident took place in Midway two years ago with a four-year-old child in the car.
Wirischagin resigned from council a few months later when the charges became public.
