The City Of Trail says it continues to have successful landing rates at its airport during the challenging winter months.
In a media summary it has published statistics for landings compared to those at the airport in Castlegar for the months of January and February.
It says it had a near 57% success rate for flights in January.
That’s compared to 37% in Castlegar.
And last month it had a success rate of 94.5% compared to the near 69% for Castlegar.
In its media release Trail says it is working with a consultant and Nav Canada to further reduce the approach minimum descent altitude by an additional 1,000 feet, the lowest in the area.
