The City of Grand Forks is cracking down on transient camps.
Some transients are still making campfires at night despite strict fire restrictions.
Fire chief Dale Heriot says it’s getting out of hand.
He also says perpetrators can be arrested but it doesn’t usually lead to anything.
Mayor Frank Konrad says he’s looking at putting together a task force as soon as possible.
