Castlegar visitation increases

Some encouraging numbers from the Visitor Centre in Castlegar for 2015.

Executive Director Tammy Veregin-Burk says there were more visitors and inquiries last year than in 2014.

950 potential investors made contact with the centre last year.

Veregin-Burk says they field a lot of questions about the area’s real-estate market and try their best to promote it to entice more people to invest in the area or potentially relocate.

The most recreational inquiries the centre received had to do with outdoor activities such as hiking, fishing and rock climbing.
