The City of Grand Forks may have a fight on its hands in trying to shut down two organizations that help the needy.
Whispers of Hope and the Boundary Emergency Transition Housing Society were given until Friday to cease operations.
But board member Theresa Raven says they’re not going anywhere.
There was a protest in front of city hall on Friday.
The housing society wouldn’t usually wouldn’t open its shelter until November.
