Boundary Women’s Coalition makes headway on homelessness

With 22 transient camps still in the area and five on city land, Grand Forks’ battle with homelessness continues.

The Boundary Women’s Coalition, however, is making plenty of progress.

Executive director Dara Sutton says the city is helping her.

The coalition hosts community conversations once a month to discuss issues and dispel myths, with everyone from the RCMP to concerned citizens.

They’ve applied for $100,000 in federal funding to hire consultants, offer training, and more.
