Crews Called to fire at Gospel Chapel
A flaming piece of cardboard was found in front of the rear entrance to the Gospel Chapel on Monday morning.
A fire Monday morning at the Grand Forks gospel chapel is under investigation.
The smell of smoke spread throughout the building but thermal imaging cameras suggested the church was fine inside.
Crews found a flaming piece of cardboard near the back door.
Fire chief Dale Heriot says it didn’t spread.
He says there aren’t any suspects but there was a report of someone in a hoodie riding a bicycle in the area.
Heriot also says the circumstances are odd, and he’s not sure if it’s happened before.
