Grand Forks is getting some unexpected help from a local religious group.
Gary Smith, or Dread Pirate Higgs says The Church of the Flying Spaghetti Monster surfaced in 2005.
Smith also says it promotes free-thinking.
Smith is also setting up an Epistemology Cafe, where locals can test their beliefs in a casual environment.
The Church of the Flying Spaghetti Monster is also helping the Bargain Shop on December 9 to collect toys and socks for those in need.
