Ribbon cutting celebrates dog park improvements

Start wagging your tails because the Grand Forks dog park has received some major improvements.

The park has tripled in size at its 18th Street location and further upgrades are on the way.

There are also separate areas for different sized canines.

Mayor Frank Konrad says it should be popular with tourists as well as locals.

Signage and a fire hydrant are still to come.

Plans for the park were brought to city council eight years ago and this expansion has been three years in the making.

The ribbon cutting ceremony was not short on canine attendants.
