A program throughout the Kootenay Boundary focusing on postpartum depression needs the community’s help.
Motherwise is a support group that’s helped 75 new mothers between Grand Forks, Nelson, Castlegar, and Trail.
Registered midwife Tanya Momtazian explains.
Momtazian adds that the Motherwise group in Grand Forks is the only one currently operating.
She says it’s important because healthy moms lead to healthy kids.
