Accelerate Kootenays is holding a number of soft launches to promote its network of electric vehicle charging stations.
Trish Dehnel with the Community Energy Association says many stations are already in place throughout the West Kootenay-Boundary.
She says adding these stations will make our region more accessible for those who drive electric vehicles.
She hopes this will entice more people to explore our area.

There’s launch events tomorrow at 10:00 am at the Christina Lake visitor centre and at 12:00 pm across from the Greenwood Museum.
On Wednesday there’s events in Creston at 11:00 am at Cook Street municipal parking lot, in Salmo at municipal hall at 12:30 pm and in Castlegar by the visitor centre at 2:00 pm.
