Highway 33 re-closed for landslide, detour available

The Rock Creek to Kelowna corridor was re-opened, but it’s still rather damaged. A large mud-slide closed Highway 33 for a couple of hours just 2 kilometres North of Rock Creek on Sunday. The road was re-opened by 3PM, but on Tuesday a landslide washed out a section of the highway further down, closing Highway 33 from Mission Creek Bridge to Kelowna. District Manager Steve Sirett with The Ministry of Transportation and Infrastructure explains.

Sirett adds that the corridor is not dangerous.

There’s a detour along Goudie Road and Cardinal Creek Road. You’re encouraged to check Drive BC for updates.
