An update on the washed-out road along the Rock Creek to Kelowna corridor. Wednesday afternoon the Ministry of Transportation and Infrastructure reported that crews were working through the night, but no estimated time of reopening the section of Highway 33 is available. Significant work is required, and continual water seepage along with the extremely saturated ground is making progress challenging.
The Ministry has restricted commercial vehicles along the Goudie Road and Cardinal Creek Road detour due to safety. The Ministry adds that they appreciate the patience of residents, drivers, and commercial vehicle operators while they continue repairs.
