The RDCK is adding a key position to its firefighting staff.
General Manager of Fire and Emergency Services Andrew Bellerby is happy the Regional District has approved the hire of a Deputy Chief.
This person will be crucial in training volunteer departments across our region to new improved standards.
The opening will be advertised nationally.
Bellerby says ideally he would like to hire somebody local who has knowledge of the region but that won’t be a determining factor.
