Recent wet weather is not helping with ongoing flooding in Grand Forks.

The Regional District of Kootenay Boundary’s Emergency Operations Centre has been activated to Level 3. Operations Centre Director Chris Marsh explains what that means.

He says the rivers are still rising.

Operations Centre Chief David Reid says public works is showing support.

He adds more alerts and orders are expected by the end of today, and there could be a noticeable difference in the water-level by tomorrow.

The RDKB put over 700 properties on evacuation alerts this week, 4 properties in Manly Meadows have been upgraded to evacuation orders.
