Several Credit Unions between the Boundary, Kootenay, and Columbia valley are helping provide financial relief for Grand Forks. The Credit Unions collectively donated $20,000 to the GoFundMe flood relief campaign. Jeff Fero with GFCU Marketing says the Credit Unions themselves pushed the fundraiser past the initial $50,000 goal.
Those branches include Columbia Valley, Creston and District, East Kootenay Community, Grand Forks, Heritage, Kootenay Savings, and Nelson and District Credit Unions. He says the Grand Forks Credit Union had water in their basement.
But they were determined to stay open!
