Wednesday afternoon’s big fire that destroyed two homes in Grand Forks probably started in a car port.
That according to fire chief Dale Heriot, although he doesn’t yet know the cause.
Heriot says the fire, near the corner of Central Avenue and Donaldson Drive, is “possibly suspicious.”
He adds it took more than 20 firefighters about seven hours to put it out.
A truck and travel trailer also burned but no one was injured.
