A local MP is giving his perspective on the federal Liberal budget and Richard Cannings says he’s disappointed by certain omissions.
The South Okanagan-West Kootenay New Democrat says there was no mention of health care or the Liberal’s promise for billions towards seniors homecare.
And Cannings says the liberal’s back-loading of big spending beyond their term in office isn’t the immediate injection they promised.
Cannings says the Liberals, like the Conservatives before them, have used surpluses in the employment insurance fund to bolster general coffers.
