Monday evening’s Grand Forks city council meeting started off by presenting an award. The Samaritan’s Purse were recognised for their efforts, and over a dozen representatives packed themselves into council chambers to accept the award! Mayor Frank Konrad says thank-you.
He adds that the organisation’s support was much needed.
Councillor Tripp says the Purse saved the City some money as well!
Tripp adds that the Samaritan’s Purse has helped with 117 homes. They’ve been clearing out flood-impacted residences for weeks in Grand Forks. Just last week The Samaritan’s Purse only had 21 spray-outs and 35-mud outs left to complete.
