The first steps towards construction of a Kettle Valley Fire Hall are underway. The Midway/Kettle Valley Fire Services Advisory Committee held a meeting early last month to begin work on the project and establish an agreement between the Regional District and Village of Midway. RDKB General Manager of Operations James Chandler says choosing the right place for it is crucial.
Chandler says the next step is securing land.
He adds they’re looking at design.
Chandler also says the new fire hall would house two fire trucks as one was recently purchased.
A location between Midway and Greenwood looks promising.
