Hazey Skies & Preventing Smoke Related Illness

If you noticed the Boundary skies are a little more hazey today, you’re not just seeing things. Ashley Davidoff with the Southeast Fire Centre explains.
She adds it’s hard to tell how long the sky could stay the same, and depends on weather and wind.
Also Interior Health has advice on reducing health risks due to wildfire smoke. Some tips include avoiding outdoor activities on especially smoky days, and using large public buildings such as shopping malls as clean air shelters. You can travel to areas with better air quality, and even create a filtered air room in your house using a H.E.P.A. For more information click here.
