The Gem Theatre of Grand Forks could be ready to re-open for late October. Although the lobby was mostly untouched, the theatre’s auditorium had stage-high water during this year’s flood. Owner Maureen Paquet says the Gem is fairly healthy.
Plus, they’ve already ordered new seating!
Paquet adds that the sub-floor is currently being worked on and a lot of the auditorium’s siding is complete. The Gem is estimated to re-open in late-October but some events, such as a pajama party, could take place there before the re-opening per the communities requests.
