Are the concerns of parents in the Kootenay Lake School District being addressed with the district’s draft plan for closures and reconfiguration?
Sheri Walsh, Chair of the Kootenay Lake Parent Advisory Council, hopes that will be the case now that the plans are out for public consultation.
The chosen scenario would see the closure of Trafalgar Middle School as well as Nelson’s elementary schools being shifted to grades K-7.
Walsh says many who were on hand to hear the reveal of the draft plans had anticipated a debate, but it never happened.
