Grand Forks election: 3 for mayor, 13 for council

Grand Forks residents will have three people to pick from for mayor in the Oct. 20 election plus 13 candidates for council.

Former mayor Brian Taylor is running against former councillor Gary Smith and Everett Baker, who has also run for mayor before. Incumbent mayor Frank Konrad did not seek re-election for health reasons.

The council candidates are as follows.

Moslin, Chris

Wyers, Cher

Zielinski, Rod

Cher Wyers and Chris Moslin are former councillors. Wyers ran unsuccessfully for mayor in 2014. There are six seats to be filled.
