There will be a three-way race to fill the school trustee position for rural Grand Forks, but there aren’t enough candidates to represent the City of Grand Forks.

When nominations for the Boundary school board closed at 4 p.m. today, Bronwen Bird, Val Rich, and Terry Strohmann were all seeking the rural position, but Jamie Massey was the only one to file papers for the two city positions. The nomination deadline will likely be extended as a result.

Four other incumbent trustees have been re-elected by acclamation: Cindy Strukoff for Christina Lake, Rose Zitko for Kettle Valley North, Katie Jepsen for Kettle Valley East, and Mark Danyluk for Kettle Valley West.
