Organizations benefit from multiculturalism funds

The province is doling out its latest multiculturalism grants to promote BC heritage.

The Castlegar Arts Council, Kaslo’s Langham Cultural Society, the Slocan Lake Garden Society, Nelson’s Capitol Theatre Society and the Creston and District Historical and Museum Society each received just over $2, 400.

Creston Museum manager Tammy Hardwick says it’s to help educate Grades 5 and 10 students in the Creston Valley.

The program is called “The Writing on the Wall.”

Hardwick says it’s very well done with good quality reproductions, audio and video and interactive lessons.
