Our local weather office is reporting a mild and very wet March.
With over 91 mm of rain and over 28 cm of snow – more than double the white stuff at the Castlegar Airport weather station compared to a normal March – we had nearly 120 mm of total precipitation.
This sort of weather is typical of a late winter and spring El Nino effect.
We also had a very warm end to the month with the 20.4 C equalling the daily maximum record for March 31st set back in 1995.
