This from councilor Florio Vassilakakis who is speaking to the city’s move to a bi-weekly garbage collection schedule to encourage residents to recycle more.
As of April 4th paper must be separated from plastic and aluminum.
Plastic bags, glass and styrofoam can still be recycled at a local depot.
He admits the changes may be an adjustment for some, but asks that everyone “gives this a chance”.
