Although changes might be coming to how Greyhound navigates western Canada it won’t affect the Kootenay Boundary just yet.
The company has asked to reduce service on its Kelowna-to-the-Alberta-border route.
But regional vice president Peter Hamal says this won’t impact on our area in the short term.
The proposed weekly minimum stops goes down to two but Hamal says that won’t necessarily be the case.
Greyhound has been in an operating deficit since 2004 and has had a steady decline in ridership since 2010.
