The self-proclaimed social event of the season returns to Grand Forks on November 24. Gallery 2 Art & Heritage Centre’s Wine Tasting will see a few changes for its 27th annual event including some new wineries. 18 wineries, breweries, and distilleries have confirmed, and the event will feature served food in cooperation with the grad decoration committee.
Director Curator Tim Van Wijk says last year was successful. “Last year’s event was really successful. It was my first event as Director Curator caus’ [sic] I’d just started in the position, and I’d been assured it was the signature event of the season, and I have to say it did not disappoint.”
Wijk says the event supports The Gallery. “All of the funds raised go directly to supporting community programming that the gallery offers, so it’s really a chance to have a great night out and support your gallery.”
This year’s theme is merry and bright. The event runs 8PM to 10:30PM and tickets are available at The Gallery.
